In the context of increasing popularity of alternative and renewable fuels for IC engines, it will be desirable to understand the environmental impact of their emissions. It is proposed to predict the emission constituents considering the property of fuel used and the engine operating conditions, which help in validating the factors of emission control. Exhaust gas or flue gas is emitted as a result of the combustion of fuels such as gasoline, petrol, biodiesel blends, diesel fuel, natural gas, fuel oil or coal. This has to be reduced to safeguard our environment from pollution. Gasoline has been utilized as a fuel for a long time; mostly methanol and ethanol are utilized as blends. Diesel and several of its blends have produced good results in reducing pollution. Measurement of exhaust gas constituents is tedious and costly affair, but necessary to evaluate alternative fuels and to check the emission. So, for knowing how much exhaust gases and its constituents are emitted from an IC engine, we are using MINITAB 17 to develop the linear regression equations based on available test results.
