Abstract

This paper deals with the position of the collinear points in photogravitational elliptical restricted three body problem. In this problem the effect of oblateness of both the primaries and that of Poynting-Robertson (PR)-drag due to the radiating bigger primary is taken into account. Vinti’s method has been exploited to obtain the x-coordinates in the form of series. It is also observed that the points do not remain collinear when the effect of PR-drag is considered but have different non-zero values of y-coordinate. The linear stability is investigated and it is found that the points are unstable in the Lyapunov sense
