Abstract

The objective of this research is to analyze the factors associated with four or more PNCs among pregnant women in the city of Kita, Mali. It covers a sample of 281 women aged 15 to 49. The study is interesting because it will highlight the elements most closely related to four or more CPNs. A quantitative and analytical study was carried out from October to December, 2020. Adjusted odds ratios (ORaj) were calculated for the variables with the value of the probability (p <0.05, in bivariate analysis). The study revealed that 63.7% of women performed 4 or more CPNs. The relevant factors associated with 4 or more ANC are: age, marital status, number of living children and the person who has the power to decide on health care. The efficacy of ongoing ANC activities in this city will be increased by taking into account these pertinent aspects.
